Mérieux Foundation
Created in 1967 by Dr. Charles Mérieux, the Mérieux Foundation is an independent state-approved organization. Its mission is to combat infectious diseases in poor countries by providing innovative diagnosis and prevention solutions. Its work is focused on four priorities: support for applied research, training and scientific information, strengthening of clinical biology care infrastructures, and aid for patients.

The Entretemps Association
The Entretemps [Meanwhile] association was born on the platforms of Perrache train station in Lyon, in 1967, and is one of the main social-emergency players in Lyon. It receives about 43,000 people in difficulty a year in five sheltered centres in Lyon. Its work is founded in values of trust, respect for individuals and their dignity, and respect for differences.
